Luzon Elders Circle — Pamana ng Luzon

Quarterly Cultural Exchange | 3 Days | 40–60 Participants

Cordillera elders meet Bicol community — knowledge exchange, hands-on learning, heritage preservation. Held at Nana Bambi's hub, F. Simeon, Pugod, Ragay, Camarines Sur.

3-Day Event Flow

Day 1 — Friday: Arrival & Welcome (Pamana Opening)

10:00 AMElders arrive (van from Bicol hub or Naga airport pickup)
11:00 AMWelcome circle under nipa shade — elders introduce themselves + short story share (Bicol vs Cordillera). Aileen/Aidan welcome speech + Nana Bambi story
12:00 PMLunch feast: hub darag pinikpikan + tinapa + burong + pili butter + fresh garden veg
1:30 PMSite tour: taro terraces, poultry spoke, dirty kitchen, pottery area
3:00 PMFree time / rest for elders
5:00 PMEvening circle: youth ask questions to elders (recorded with permission)
6:30 PMDinner: simple Bicol adobo + Cordillera-inspired dish
8:00 PMCampfire stories / songs (traditional tunes from both regions)

Overnight: Elders in manager residence rooms, youth/community in tents or home

Day 2 — Saturday: Hands-On Sharing (Full Learning Day)

8:00 PMEvening music / dance (youth perform short Bicol/Cordillera steps)

Day 3 — Sunday: Celebration & Closing (Pamana Handover)

8:00 AMMorning wrap-up: youth demo what they learned (weave a bookmark, jar a ferment, plant taro). Elders give feedback + blessings

  • All meals during the event
  • Honorarium of ₱5,000–10,000 as a token of respect
  • One companion welcome to join (same provisions)
