The Story

The Founder

A chef and a carpenter. A family moving home. A dream that became a plan that became a wheel.

← Back to the Wheel

Who built this

Not a tech person. Not an investor. A chef and a carpenter — someone who knows how to build things with their hands and how to feed people properly. Someone who spent years in Australia watching how things could be done differently, and who decided to bring that knowledge home to Bicol.

Why Bicol

Because it is home. Because the land is extraordinary — volcano, river, sea, forest, farmland all within sight of each other. Because the people here are resilient and skilled and have been underestimated for too long. Because if you are going to build something that lasts, you build it where your roots are.

The move

The whole family. From Australia to the Philippines. Selling up, packing up, bringing the dog, driving to Naga. Not a holiday. Not a retirement project. A commitment. A bet on the future.

The vision

To prove to the family that it can be done. That it is not just a dream — it is a real business plan. This family has it in them to be great. They just need the push. Nana Bambi's is the push.

This is to prove to the family it can be done.
Its not just a dream.
It is a real business plan.
This family has it in them to be great.

In memory of Alejandro

The café carries his name. The charter carries his spirit. The farm carries his legacy forward into the hands of the next generation — the children who will grow up here, on this land, knowing where food comes from and how to make something from nothing.
