About Nana Bambi's Place
Nana Bambi's Place is a vertically integrated farm-to-table community enterprise in Ragay, Camarines Sur. The enterprise grows, produces, and supplies food across twelve operational spokes — from the farm gate to the cafe table to the delivery box.
The Feeds and Supply spoke is the physical engine of the entire operation. Raw materials come in, finished goods go out. Every other spoke depends on this area functioning correctly, on time, every day.
Position Overview
The Feeds and Supply Manager is the senior person responsible for everything that moves through the loading and supply area. This is a hands-on role — the manager operates the tractor and forklift personally, manages inbound and outbound freight, oversees milling operations, and directs the loading team.
The Logistics Coordinator handles phones, data entry, and manifests under the manager's direction. The manager owns the physical operation. The coordinator owns the paperwork. Both report to Aileen and Aidan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound Freight
- Schedule and coordinate collections of raw materials — corn, rice husk, copra, fresh produce, and all inbound supplies
- Inspect all goods on arrival — reject substandard deliveries before they enter storage
- Operate tractor and forklift to unload and move freight to correct storage locations
- Confirm all inbound data to the Logistics Coordinator in real time for system entry
2. Outbound Freight
- Plan and prepare outbound loads for all spokes — correct quantities, correct vehicles, correct timing
- Supervise the loading team during vehicle loading — safe, efficient, no damage
- Confirm manifests with the Logistics Coordinator before any vehicle departs
- Coordinate return loads on every trip — nothing runs empty
- No driver handles cash — all payments are GCash or bank transfer only
3. Milling Operations
- Operate and maintain all milling equipment — feed milling is a core production function
- Produce to different specifications per spoke — tilapia feed, poultry feed, livestock feed each have distinct requirements
- Record all milling inputs and outputs accurately — what went in, what came out, what was lost
- Report equipment faults to Aileen immediately — do not wait for breakdown
4. Cold Storage and Warehouse
- Enforce FIFO stock rotation across all storage areas — first in, first out, no exceptions
- Daily temperature monitoring of cold storage and chiller units — logged and reported
- Conduct regular stock counts — physical count against system records
- Flag low stock levels before they become emergencies — proactive, not reactive
5. Fleet Coordination
- Direct the Logistics Coordinator on vehicle scheduling across the fleet — F-Series refrigerated truck, chiller van, livestock transport (16–20t GVW), and support vehicles
- No overloading — every load within legal and safe weight limits
- Fuel logs maintained daily — every vehicle, every trip, every litre accounted for
- Livestock welfare during transport — animals handled correctly, vehicle conditions appropriate
6. Team Supervision — Loading Team
- Set and maintain standards — the loading area is clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Assign daily tasks to the loading team — clear instructions, clear expectations
- Train team members in manual handling and safe working practices
- Enforce the equipment rule — loading team does not operate tractor or forklift
- Manage attendance and conduct — report issues to Aileen promptly
7. Data Entry and Records
- Confirm all operational data to the Logistics Coordinator in real time — not at end of day
- Sign off on all manifests before vehicles depart
- Verify coordinator data entries against physical reality — what the system says must match what actually happened
- Basic computer literacy required — the manager must be able to check records independently
- Maintain fuel logs, milling logs, and temperature logs daily without exception
Typical Daily Pattern
| Time | Activity |
|---|---|
| Early AM | Arrive before first truck. Check cold storage temperatures. Review the day's schedule with the Logistics Coordinator. |
| Morning | Receive inbound freight. Inspect deliveries. Direct unloading using tractor and forklift. |
| Mid Morning | Milling operations. Loading team briefed and assigned. Outbound loads prepared and staged. |
| Late Morning | Outbound trucks dispatched. Manifests confirmed with coordinator. Return loads verified and scheduled. |
| Afternoon | Storage management. FIFO stock rotation. Temperature checks. Fleet status review with coordinator. |
| Late Afternoon | End of day data confirmation with coordinator. Loading area cleaned and secured. Equipment stowed. |
| As Required | Outside normal hours when freight is moving — this role flexes to the operation, not the clock. |
